Yuri Endo 2012
It has been rather overwhelming few days, on top of seeing my project on various online magazines, I have been receiving delightful comments and inquiries from people all over the world. (Thank you so much!) Frankly, I had no idea one online article could reach this many audience, considering up until last week, I was absolutely content when my videos earned over 50 views and a few likes! I really hope that people are enjoying this project as much as I was during its production. Although this art installation project's role as my thesis work finally came to the end, for any updates I may have, I'll continue blogging on this research blog.
* I noticed that I had been featured as a male artist or designer. Some articles may even say I am Korean or "Turi" Endo. (which I kind of like to be honest. ) Nonetheless, the truth is I am a Japanese female and my first name is Yuri:)
>> Acknowledgments
This project would not have been possible without the guidance of several individuals who extended their valuable assistance during the process.
First and foremost, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Professor David Hall (Opiumblue) for playing the significant role as my supervisor and mentor, providing all the necessary knowledge and support, without which I would not have completed this project. He is the Darth Vader of this four-prism device design.
My sincere thanks also go to Professor Jiyoun Lee and Professor Andrea Dichiara for their educative product design courses. Matthieu Tessier, Halim Cillov, Samuel De Luze, Jinseong Kim, Benjawan Daengbuppha, HongJung Kwon, Elena Marchenko and Cinzia Memmo for their inspiring conversations and feedbacks on my works. Ms. Soo-jung Kang for her continuous administrative assistance at IDAS(Hongik University) over the past years.
I would also like to express my gratitude to my parents, for allowing me to realize my own potential. All the unwavering support they have provided me over the years was the greatest gift.
Last but not least, Thank you Designboom.com for providing me such rewarding opportunities to showcase my projects.
